The Everglades Day Safari has provided the most adventurous Everglades safari’s since 1992! As a true ecotour, the safari’s follow The International Ecotourism Society’s belief of promoting responsible travel to natural areas, conserving the environment and improving the well-being of local people.
The tour is designed to explore all four ecosystems that make up the glades including: the sawgrass prairie, mangrove estuary, cypress swamps and pine savannah.
The West Coast adventure is a truly amazing airboat ride on a 1500 acre inland lake where there are more alligators per acre than anywhere in the world. For one hour you will be surrounded by alligators of all sizes and a variety of birds of all shapes, sizes and colors.
The East Coast airboat ride navigates through the sawgrass sloughs to a genuine Miccosukee village island where guests learn the history of the tribe as well as that of the Seminoles. Alligators are common and the rare and Endangered Snail Kite is often seen.
The relaxing 90 minute boat cruise departs from the Everglades National Park and navigates through the mangrove estuary known as the 10,000 Islands. On this fully narrated cruise, dolphin, manatee and many shore birds are often spotted on the way out towards the Gulf of Mexico.
The nature walks are strolls into the cypress swamp area of the Everglades. These fresh water areas are home to an abundance of wildlife including the very rare Florida panther, bear, otter, mink, deer and feral pigs.
Wildlife drive ventures into the sawgrass prairies and open savannahs of the “Big Cypress”, a 780,000 acre National Preserve in the Everglades. This primarily fresh water area is home to a vast array of plant and animal life including alligators, turtles and dozens of species of birds. You never know what will show up!
